PeriAcryl®90 is a cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive that has become a popular product in oral surgery. This toothpaste is specially designed to be performed in the oral cavity. PeriAcryl®90 is an ideal blend of n-butyl cyanoacrylate and 2-octyl cyanoacrylate, giving the formulation an excellent set of properties to function in soft oral tissue. PeriAcryl®90 is intended to attach dental dressings such as COE-PAK™ to intact gingival tissue and/or enamel to help keep the dressing secure and in place for up to two weeks.

PeriAcryl®90 was developed by GluStitch nearly 20 years ago. At that time, periodontologists were purchasing hospital format cyanoacrylate adhesive products (eg HistoAcryl®, HistoAcryl® Blue) designed for disposable wound closure situations in the emergency room setting. The formulations and packaging were not tailored to the needs of the dental industry. Using feedback from periodontists in North America, the ideal formulation was developed by combining two cyanoacrylate monomers; N-butyl and 2-octyl. Over the years, PeriAcryl®90 has gained popularity across the dental community.
